As a QA Analyst, you will develop test cases and perform manual testing to validate the intended function of software solutions. You will be responsible for tracking bugs and reporting defects to the team, as well as reviewing software for functional requirements. You will be collaborating with the development team to ensure desired functionality. You may be asked to facilitate acceptance testing with client stakeholders.
What You Will be Doing/Responsibilities
Perform UI, functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing
Create, update, and execute test cases based on functional and technical requirements
Identify, record, and track bugs and defects
Assist with reproducing issues and verifying bug fixes
Demonstrate functioning software and defects to interested parties
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, clients, and end-users to ensure desired functionality and on time delivery of software
Document software defects in a manner consistent with the agreed-upon documentation scheme and reports defects to the project team and clients as appropriate
Provide input on functional requirements, user interface designs, project schedules, or potential project risks
Effectively communicate quality issues and recommendations to improve quality to management
What You Need
3-5 years Software Quality Assurance Experience
Strong written, verbal, and collaborative skills
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
Experience and ability reading and writing SQL queries
Experience with API testing (Postman or Insomnia)
Experience with mobile testing
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, ranging from technical product-owners to end-users
Ability to decompose complex use-cases into discrete tests
Ability to determine how new software requirements will change the testing requirements and how that impacts existing tests and regression tests
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvements
